As seen on the Big Bang Theory, Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock, was devised by internet guru Sam Kass (all hail Sam Kass!). Watching Sheldon give the explanation of how it works is hilarious! (I added the video clip below). It takes the basic Rock Paper Scissors game to a whole new level. Because there are 10 possible combinations, the odds of a tie are reduced.

How Are Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock Dice Better Than Hands?

Well, you can use the hand signals… but that can be difficult in public spaces. Plus, the Spock Vulcan hand signal is a bit tricky for the less dexterous among us. And CERTAIN people (who shall remain nameless, but they know who they are) cheat. Instead, you whip out this special pair of 12 sided dice, and take care of the problem the way any geek would.

Use the power of the dice. (Because, we all know…” the dice giveth and the dice taketh away….”)

What comes with the Set?

You get 4 dice…. three with red, the other black. The dice are standard dice size (big enough to see, but small enough to take along). The symbols R P S L S are scattered randomly on each die.

Also included are 24 blue chips. Each player gets 3 to start.

Time To Play

One person rolls the black die… this is the symbol everyone is competing against.

The first player rolls the 3 red dice… then each die is compared to the black die. For a win, they are given a chip, for a loss, they put a chip in the bank, for a left, they pass a chip to the player on the left.
