Play Apples Apples Junior
Apples to Apples Junior – The Game of Crazy Combinations!
Apples to Apples is a favorite family game in our home, but sometimes it’s tough for the littler people in our family to play because they don’t have the vocabulary or basic knowledge of history that some of the cards call for…Apples to Apples Jr. resolves this issue.
Play Apples Apples Junior
The play works just like the regular Apples to Apples. There are two sets of cards… one set has subjects like sandwich or school, the other set has describing words like funny or red. (The cards all have straightforward pictures on them). Each player is given a few of the descriptive cards.
Everyone takes turn being the judge….
The judge pulls a card from the subject card pile and puts it into the middle of the table. The other players choose a card from their personal set that they believe most closely matches the card in the middle. The judge chooses the winner, who keeps the subject card… and play rotates to the right.
The winner is the person who collects 5 subject cards first.
Who Can Play Apples to Apples Junior?
The age range on the box says 7 and up… but I think younger kids could play if they are already reading (or getting some help)
Now… Just because this is a Junior game, does not mean that adults won’t have fun with it. The basic principles of Apples to Apples are still there…. you can still have a lot of fun with this. The words just happen to be kid familiar.
