What is a Meeple?

Quite simply, a Meeple is a person figure that you use in games. The term was coined in 2000 by Alison Hansel during a game of Carcasonne, when she contracted the words “my” and “people” into Meeple…. and the world never looked back. There are Meeples in games like Survive:Escape from Atlantis and Ticket to Ride (Marklin edition). And, if you ever get tired of being the shoe or the car, you can sub in your favorite custom Meeples into any board game!

Meeples have gone beyond mere Game Tokens, today, you can collect Meeples for all parts of your life!
